Fashion Week for the Snow/Cold Bound-Vogue 8886 a Definite Maybe

Thinking Spring
The Vogue Spring 2013 patterns are up on the website. Take a look for yourself! There are some lovely offerings but most do not suit my lifestyle, my body, or my style. But I have narrowed it down a bit.

Recent comments on the Sewing/Fashion blogs are rather ambivalent toward the new Spring 2013 Vogue Pattern Collection. Finding fashionable pieces to enhance your  wardrobe is a personal choice, of course, but there are a few new patterns that caught my eye. This is my number one favorite. It reminds me of one I made in the '60's. Think Mary Tyler Moore or Marlo Thomas. The rolled and cuffed boat neck collar is just the right touch for a dressier option to the basic top and pants combo. The princess lines allow for fitting finesse. Slim pants elongate the torso and having the top and pants in the same fabric allows for a very pulled together look. If I make anything this season from this collection, this would be the one.

I like the Chado Ralph Rucci shirt, #1347.

I agree, saw that, but those ties would drive me nuts. The lines and the shape are very nice. This designers line are very sculptural. I think I am too round.
