Good chilly, frosty morning! There could not be a better day to curl up in a lovely quilt.

Just recently I discovered Amy's blog. A very talented and prolific quilter, Amy is sponsoring her semi-annual on-line quilt show. You will be pleasantly surprised at all the talent showcased there. There are already 70+ entries. You can link back to the entrant's blogs to learn more about each one.  Of course, there is a vendor's mall where all kinds of goodies are available for the sewist.  My entry is a self-designed, machine pieced, hand quilted piece. I call it Victorian Pinwheels.

One thing I know for sure, when the air cools, quilts are required on leather furniture. This room is a busy family room where dogs and people congregate. I thought that leather would work well because of the "....don't worry about it factor, I can just wipe that off!" While that is true, the initial sit is rather chilly.  This fabric was purchased at a quilt show, the first one my Husband ever attended with me. He chose the fabric. I had never been fond of purples, let alone purples and greens, but I decided to step out of my color comfort zone. When I finally got started on the design it was a quest. I actually would get up in the middle of the night and move things around on my design wall! I know, a little over the top. This was a very special time for us, children were grown and gone and we actually had some time to enjoy non-essential activities. I remember everything about that day. This quilt is the symbol of that day.

So, have a nice time touring the show if you have time.  Leave comments if you choose. This is quite a bit of work for Amy to put together. Thank You Amy!
