By 5 pm, it is dark here and the lights come on, but that's OK, it is conducive to hand stitching, crochet, embroidery. This is Thanksgiving week, already, I am wrapping up lots of little projects in anticipation of the big-ish day. We travel to sons home, he has been the Thanksgiving host for 25 years, he is a good cook. Our travel used to take a little over an hour, now it takes a little over 5 minutes!
This special week has reminded me to be Thankful for what we have, not what we have lost or what we disdain. Our world is very complicated, it is true, but our own little world, as it is, for each his own, we can appreciate and celebrate. In that context, have a very Happy Thanksgiving dear Americans.
I have been blessed to hear from so many friends this week, my dear son is nearby and happy, we have good health considering everything. My Lola lights up our everyday events. I will make pies tomorrow, pack the baskets, prepare for an early church service on Thanksgiving Day. Then on to Thanksgiving dinner with dear son, his new wife, and friends.
A glimpse of a basket project to share next week.
This fabric was in a bin of end of bolt fabrics, $2 per yard, really! When did you ever see quality fabric in a quilt shop for that price?
A little bow for the b-m!
