Other People's Work!

If you have never visited a botanical garden, may I highly recommend the experience. A few minutes among these plantings, some over 100 years old restores my soul!

Now, a little bit about Other Peoples Work! If you don't know about Kelly Cline, you are missing out. This very talented woman has gifted us with her passion of quilting for several years online, on Facebook and on Instagram. That said, her most recent large (90 inches square) has been an amazing project. She has shared the process along the way, including being unable to remove blue markings on a stunning white quilted background! Even I was holding my breath for her. It was to be entered in a show, the deadline was quickly approaching, and she had tried an arsenal of methods to rescue the quilt. In the end, her husband suggested a thick paste of baking soda applied to the spots, sit over night, wash away, and voila! It worked. Keep that little tid-bit in your memory banks quilters.

Here it is, seriously, can you believe how beautiful it is? A link to her website, HERE! There are links to her other accounts on that page.

Such talent, such patience. An inspiring example to anyone who wants to learn and perfect this style of quilting.

The recent Three Rivers Quilt Show had some amazing gems.

Whether you are just a beginner and have discovered the famous Jelly Roll Quilt, or an advanced artist like these ladies, it is all good. It is expression, it is fulfillment, it is a gift to all who share the craft.
