The Friday Bits and Pieces, an Interview With Kaffe Fassett

No photo description available.Today I feel about as interesting as a rutabaga. All kinds of things bouncing around in my wee head.

  • I have concluded that I cannot work on my cross stitch outside of my bedroom. Lola will not leave me alone! I am so afraid she will grab a needle or a hank of floss and swallow it. Sooooo, all the working hoops and tools that I moved down here have been moved back upstairs, they will be organized and set up today. I also took my Big Ott light with the magnifier and clip there. I will see if sitting by the window with that light works better before I buy something else.

    • I had an interesting conversation with a lady in the MRI waiting room the other day. We were both reading, she had a hard bound book that she said was a re-read. I had a Kindle reader. She had just down-sized and gave up many of her cherished books. I rarely buy hard copy anymore, only special ones. I donated quite a few not long ago, I have many more that need to find new homes. The kind lady was sure she accidentally packed away some valuable first editions in that give-away. My sewing, quilting, embroidery etc. books are part of a large collection as well as more cookbooks than are probably legal.😌
    • I came upon an interesting interview with Kaffe Fasset about color, using color, using color with white and using color with blacks. His opinions are very interesting. Considering he is the KING of color, I though it might interest you as well. HERE.Jenny visits with Kaffe (left) and Brandon (right) during their 2019 visit to Hamilton, MO.
