Time for a Field Trip, Tea Shop With Friends!

In this country there are some pretty nice little tea shoppes. Many have been suspended during the pandemic and are just opening up now. We have a sweet little shop nearby where I have visited and entertained often.

Decorated with vintage and antique furniture, the atmosphere is quaint yet friendly.

This photo is from a prior event, our scheduled party last week had to be postponed.

After pandemic limitations, this little local shop is open again, one of my favorite places. We are gathering there next Monday, can't wait. The Christmas decorations are up and I have a few more little purchases to make. Yippee!

So, back to present time, are you familiar with The Darling Academy? Alena Kate Pettitt is the founder of this blog, lifestyle channel, classic British home keeper journal. She is a delight, her posts are always appropriate, refined, and inspiring. Practical advice from such a young woman is welcomed in this day when such attributes are rare. Our world is so distracted and busy, she redefines that by chronicling her life in the Cotswolds

This recent post describes her Birthday Tea with a friend at Claridge's. I have provided a link below. Pour a cuppa, find a comfy chair, and travel vicariously to this London Landmark, for tea! Tea at Claridge's with The Darling Academy, HERE. Elegant, elegant, and elegant!

Alena has written a book about classic and modern etiquette.  From the jacket description this quote.....

"English Etiquette details everything the English know about why etiquette matters, in a modern, understandable, and unpretentious way – while teaching you how to cultivate a traditional and charming countenance to rival any royal.

Covering topics such as gallantry and grace, common decency, lifestyle choices, the quintessential English wardrobe, and behaviour in the home, you will learn how to shoehorn a little English gentility from this practical field guide into your daily life."

The book is available on Amazon in the U.S., mine is on it's merry way!
