Wisdom Wednesday, Sewing is Good For You!

Good morning dear Sewists! Another beautiful Spring morning greeted Lola and I on our morning lawn sniff. This dog sniffs every blade of grass I swear. She often bumps into trees and such because her nose and eyes are glued to the ground! Then she give me "the look" like its my fault. Funny pooch!

This is an older picture, her first week home. (still having pic problems) She is now a big strong 80 lb darling who can take me down in a minute if a rabbit is involved. The other day she proved that she is stronger than I! My right wrist and knee are iced again. Gotta love a strong spirit, right? Right.

May be an image of text that says '5 Health Benefits of Sewing 1. Relieves Stress The meditative action of sewing encourages positivity and feelings of relaxation. 2. Fights Dementia Sewing keeps the mind clear, focused & active, which can help prevent dementia as we age. 5. Improve your Hand/Eye Coordination Sewing requires a certain type of attention to detail, that encourages coordination, especially hand/eye. FACES'

  •  Our first gathering for the Ladies of the Cloth for 2021 happened yesterday. A sunny, hot day was had by our small group, in the parking lot of the church where have have met for years. Shade was provided by the awning of one members RV (Thank you Linda Sue) while the fences and shrub plantings provided display areas of projects formed over the long pandemic hiatus.
  • I managed to get some photos in the blinding light but they are not so good, I will try to upload them on husbands computer. He doesn't know that yet.
  • Have a productive day, be it in thought, word, deed, or project. It is all good. If nothing else, we have learned not to waste a minute of the day.
