Flashback Friday and A Fractured Rainbow

Well, now this was a week, wasn't it? I can do without another mid-Spring snow storm! These two agree!!!

One extreme to the other, yes, welcome to Pennsylvania!

This quilt is from 2015, about the same time of year, setting out the patriotic decor. This one is mine.

This is a Jenny Doan designed quilt from her Block magazine called Stackers. It is fun to make, quick and easy. I used a wool batting on this one, loved quilting it. The full post HERE.

  • I hope everyone is staying healthy, our world is opening up, I am there.
  • I had lunch with a dear friend this week, this style of quilt that I call Stackers came up in conversation. I think I'll make another one.
  • I have started hanging my finished tops on an old tiered pant hanger I found while cleaning. I covered them with one of those clear plastic dry cleaner bags for now. The Bactronics people are coming Tuesday, the new furnace/AC install Thursday and Friday. I will be upstairs with Rachel doing some piecing. I am sooooooooo tired of disruption, construction, appointments. I chose the new kitchen cupboards yesterday. I will be lucky if they are done by July 4th I am told. I should be done with all this by Thanksgiving. Ha!
Oh, did I mention that the prior painting warped all the cupboards? Something about the way paint dries in Winter? Well, now we have to do all the doors again. Boxes are ok. I am tired.
