My poor old Christmas Cactus has a couple blooms now. It sits on a windowsill in the laundry room and struggles to survive. It is very old, probably 67 years now. I am going to re-pot it this year. The above beauty is not mine😏
A little bright spot for the chilly dreary Monday morning, this quilt was made with scraps and orphan blocks by the talented lady at "Exuberant Color" blog. She also has a website where she shows more of her work and lists her classes, yes some of them are online too, HERE.
Using Kaffe fabrics and other scraps, Wanda has also incorporated some orphan blocks that really set off the simple design. I believe these were strips she had cut for other projects then she re-cut them for this pattern.
- waiting for a warm-up, friends in Florida are very warm, 85 degrees, sunburned.
- Spring/Clean project continues, today, on a ladder to get those high spots and take down draperies, wish me luck.
- Lola saw the beautician, she looked so sweet. Since then keeping her dry with all this rain has been a focus. Even she wouldn't walk in the rain, wanted back in the house, that is a first.
These Kaffe triangles never really spoke to me, I packed them up and now I may steal Wanda's idea, incorporate them into something else.
This pincushion was made from similar scraps.
