Who Doesn't Need a Nice Square Loaf?

I make bread. Sometimes I make more than others but with mostly just two to feed I must take care not to get carried away! But, I have been on a quest for a Pullman Loaf Pan since early this year. With shipping and production issues, the pans have just not been available. Until just recently. Therefore, I present the Pullman pan, it's history, and the loaf!

ON Kitchen Chronicles, HERE.

USA Pan Bakeware Pullman Loaf Pan With Cover, 9 x 4 inch, Nonstick & Quick Release Coating, Made in the USA from Aluminize...I finally found it on Amazon if you are interested, made in America. High quality, heavy construction. I discovered with research that the cheapies ended up with warped and unusable lids. Well, golly, then you just have a plain old bread pan. Available HERE.

I love this loaf pan! Don't know whether it's available here in The Netherlands.
Will search the (bakery) web :>)
Would be wonderful to bake my bread 3D-square-shaped.
Dutch people are not that toast lovers like you are, but I am!
I am convinced our home-baked and cooked food contributes to us getting/staying fit, healthy and safe.
And walking, every day, ofcourse ;>)
Sending love and hugs to you, my dear friend.

Just remember to find the recipe that doesn't rise too much. You need to keep it in hand, it will look a little flat in the pan since we are used to getting a nice puffy loaf. Yes, homemade bread is the best. No preservatives. Take care, stay well!

So that's what I have! I have a cocktail size one too with the sliding lid. I always used my bread machine and would love to start making honey oatmeal bread again.

Great! Just remember that the recipe for these uses less yeast. You don't want that thing rising about 1/2 inch from the pan edge or you can't close the lid. I am currently searching for another Pain de Mie recipe, one maybe lighter. Makes a great sandwich, minimal crust and square, nice and square!

We will all be "loafing around!" ???Does that translate to Dutch Jeanneke?
