The Ladies of the Cloth Gathering, Modifications to the Routine

Last week, during a beautiful sunny day, the Ladies of the Cloth gathered in the parking lot of the church where we usually meet. Covid has kept us apart for months and this was the best we could manage. And manage we did. With the generous assist of a motor home awning for those of us who avoid the sun, the group circled the lawn chairs and had a good chat.

For some it was the opportunity to share projects and others to share items ready to go to new homes.

Mary Jane shared her beautiful quilt made from fabric pieces she has collected over many years. We all had a smile because many of us recognized our own fabrics shared during another swap!

This is only one of two quilts she brought but the sunlight was so intense my photo's are nothing but blur. It was so nice to see this. A refreshing change from our own four walls!

A little table to hold the "exchange" items! We nibbled our little sandwiches and caught up on life. Fortunately, none of the group has been ill. A few knew of someone with illness but certainly not fatal. For this we were thankful.

Maintaining our group has been interesting during this time and now some of our members will be heading south for the Winter. We try to keep in touch via email but the gathering is important for creativity, camaraderie, and stress relief.
