September 20th is National Jelly Roll Day, Who Knew?

Not this kind of Jelly Roll Silly Sewists, the fabric kind! Now, truth be told, I could use this one too!😁

Cranberry Jelly Roll : Stock PhotoThis kind of Jelly Roll is a quilters delight when you learn how to work with them and find all the amazing things you can do with them. I am at the finishing stage of a quilt that uses some Jelly's but there are many, many ways to incorporate these pre-cut darlings into your quilting life if you have not already.

I first met this fabric choice when I discovered the Fat Quarter Shop Online. They had a little contest for new subscribers and I entered. Guess What? I won, and got to choose which fabrics I wanted from their inventory and I had never used them before. That was the beginning. I have made lots of basic items as well as cut and recut them for borders and binding and blocks...you get the idea.

One of my first Jelly Roll Race quilts.

Here is another one, I inserted 2 1/2 inch squares randomly.

Another one, more little white blocks.

You get the idea!
