| While this national holiday is a far cry from what we are used to and certainly more than we expected, make the best of it I say. No parades, no fireworks, no big family reunion. Instead, I am digging out the flag placemats, teaching husband how to grill something, (seriously at 72 he can't even make toast) and gridding my linen for the Sampler. Wild right? Now, fireworks are permitted int his state, that is not really a good thing, I think. The idiots up the street will have their bonfire, their beer, their fireworks etc. The dogs will be terrified and I just hope and pray no nakedness will occur. |
