Springtime into Summer is a magical time for me. The way living was meant to be. Quiet times on a porch surrounded by stunning floral displays and immersed in birdsong or at an elegant event, such as a bridal or baby shower where everyone is dressed in fine garments, their best manners in use. The melodic sound of the silver spoon as it is placed on a delicate, scalloped tea saucer. Little sweet and savory treats on fine china where a lacy embroidered cloth covers a highly polished table. My mind goes there for the peace and serenity that is essential to our days and our lives.
A return to grace is attainable on an everyday level. No matter if the silver is plated or stainless, not to worry if the fine china is pottery...Grace can be our companion, the stepping stone to living our best everyday life.
In this stream of thought, a lovely table covering is essential to me. A nicely dressed table makes even the most humble dinner memorable. Flowers are abundant at this time of year in the markets and our own gardens. A small spray elevates the table from mundane to remarkable.
We have been restrained and restricted, now we need to take that way of life, elevate it, demand it. If we have lost time, social events, bonding moments with those we cherish, finding a way to change the course of life is essential.

| Much like a guidebook to living our best lives with grace, this periodical is worth its weight in gold. Each issue is lovely, but this one, perfect. Maybe it is the time of year or time current time, it holds ideas and inspiration beyond its usual charming content. |

| That's all folks, off to do something constructive, I hope. Yesterday I ripped out two sections of a cross-stitch project, I don't think I am being toooooo picky but I am fighting with the DMC for some reason. I did find a supplier for the Au Ver A Soie d'Alger! Yesterday they released a nice new selection of blues. That was a Must-Have for a future project. I will eventually collect enough of it. Then I will show the project. No quilting lately, just can't seem to get to it! Bread is done, need to get that out of the oven. Have a Lovely Tuesday, today my baby is 48 years old. He is a wonderful man and I am so proud of him. He has overcome great challenges, came out on top. Happy Birthday Stephen. |
