Memorial Day Weekend

So, here we are, Memorial Day Weekend. We are still limited in what we can do, where we can do it, and if anyone can be with us! So how does that impact Sewtopia? Well, not as much as you might think. Lola and I enjoyed this peaceful calm first thing on this morning walk. You all know how I love the sight of dappled sunlight, the season doesn't matter. This day it was stunning, a little chilly but beautiful. 

A start like this gives the day a boost in spirit. Thankful for not being one of the poor sick ones, not living with the anxiety of financial ruin and most of all thankful for the many veterans who sacrificed their lives and futures defending this country.  We will spend this day honoring our family members with grave marker flags even if the powers that be want to diminish their sacrifice by not permitting the scouts and veteran organizations to place them. There will be no parade, no picnic, no fireworks but we will pay homage in our own way. No one can take that away!
