Tuesday Tea, Waiting for Spring

The first teapot in my collection, 1984.
During this time of isolation and quarantine, it's the little things that brighten the day! On my front porch there is an antique rocking chair, painted black. There is a rock on there too. This has become the drop-off area for mail, tips for delivery people and gifts!

Girlfriend of dear son loves to cook, loves to bake. She came down today to work on their new house and dropped this off on her way! Scones, fresh from the oven, made with fresh strawberries and Rosemary from her garden.

Seriously, how great is that? There is a lemon glaze icing on them as well. A cup of scalding hot tea and trust me, we are good to go!
  • The bubbler (aerator) on my grow system went kaput two weeks ago. The parsley, chives, and dill were doing pretty good too. I have been busy and haven't added water, actually, I heard the machine sort of groaning. I went into the dining room where it lives right now and there she was dry as a bone, plants wilted, it was a sorry site. I added water, filled it up properly and the bubbler started working like it was new. A bit of a miracle it was!
  • We have struggled for a few years to keep the mama bunnies from nesting in our raised garden beds. Last week husband cleaned the beds out, removed all weeds and debris that seem to make the beds attractive as a nursery for the critters. Another little miracle, mama bunny, has built a nice big nest, full of bunny fur and straw. We will be having babies! I am thrilled, husband not so much.
  • So far, my friends and family are healthy. Can't ask for more than that. The curve is flattening, we may be able to get on with life soon. Let us hope.
