Sewtopia Studio-Isolation Day-#6-Looking Back at Some Good Things

I think I may bring her from the studio to the kitchen for a quick stitch now and then. Lola might not agree. I remember the day this little gem arrived. It was a beautiful May day. It was a gift for my Birthday.

Hello, my quilty, stitching friends. How are you doing out there? Fine, I hope and working on those UFO's, sorting fabrics and finding a way to best spend our time during this pause in normal life.

A reminder of times past, this little quilt was one of Grandmother's make-do pieces, made from clothing, some yardage, and scraps from curtains etc. A Vintage piece, about 50 years old it has seen little use.
I think this was my first Jelly Roll quilt, 2014 says the time stamp. This style has become a go-to for many of us who need a quick project and it changes character with fabric choice and if you had little squares or odd pieces here and there. Thank you Jenny Doan.
This is the first quilt I ever made using the Accuquilt Cutter at a quilt guild session. The rest, as they say, is history!
  • I have so many beautiful quilts in the files, it's like a walk through time.
  • My dear friends have contributed greatly to this blog by sharing their projects, again, thank you.
  • Keep the good times in your heart, that will help sustain us through this difficult time. Be well, be grateful, be hopeful.
