Thank You Linda Sue! |
Yesterday, Sunday, March 15th, I made myself a little resolution. With all the anxiety and sometimes panic around us I refuse to go there. Like many, I have weathered many obstacles in life and lived and seen many catastrophes on a professional level. I want to keep busy and what a good time to not twitter away my hours. With our futures rather complicated right now, I cannot be light-hearted about the whole thing but I plan to get on with my life.

Life must go on. Soon the flowers will bloom! |
To that end, I am going to make myself accountable here, on the blog, for what little I actually do get done. So here is the summary from my Sunday musings.
- I spent about an hour just clearing the decks in the studio. With the passing of my MIL, many of her items ended in there on every flat surface. I have sorted, saved and set aside those items.
- Last week and the week before I pulled fabrics for two other projects. Like I need to start something else right now! I put them away. They are distracting.
- I had three printed panels set aside for decorating MIL's room for Easter, Mothers Day and Memorial Day. They are draped over the long arm, I am not ready to put them away yet. We will see.
- My pending Whitework Round Robin planning is in progress. I did choose my linen band, it is supposedly on the way but thread choice is still not done. I am a bit in the air until I see the band in real life, not on my computer monitor.
- I need to make a work mat. I like to have a white, slightly napped fabric, lightly padded to lay on the table when I work hand projects like this. I have some flannel that I will likely use for that. I am in the sketching phase because the one I used in the past is gone. I want to integrate a pin-keep, a little band to park scissors, a marking pen, and a measuring tool of some sort. More on that to come. Being able to roll up or fold the mat with the piece clean and dry is my goal. This Round Robin involves other people's projects and I would be loathed to soil them in any way. These are great "Virtual Friends" I have known for 30 years.

My gardening activities are not what they used to be but I need to make up a cute little cover for just that. It has to blend with dirt a bit! I will be scanning the fabric stash for just the right fabric, probably be denim. |
