In The Studio-Isolation Journal-Day#4

So, here we are, officially day #4 of our common sense self-imposed isolation, keep to life as normal as much as possible. We had to go out yesterday to meet with an attorney about MIL's business and then right home, lunch, and household duties.
Flowers, any time of year brightens the day!
Traditional St. Patricks Day fare, cooking in the roaster, corned beef and cabbage.
In the current climate of social distancing, one of my favorite bloggers posted yesterday about the current way of life in France. They are only permitted to travel for doctor appointments, hospital visits, and pharmacy pick-ups if they do not deliver. Grocery runs are also permitted. To do this they must go to a special web site and print off their permission slip.  Montfort L'Amaury

So what is a lady (I use that term lightly, I am working on it!) to do? Sew of course. All those days of lamenting the "stash" and our over-enthusiasm when around bolts of fabric.
As I stitch away on the Hello Darling blocks I wanted to share something more interesting here.

Fashion Trends Reported by Justine Leconte for Spring/Summer 2020.     HERE!
While I have never followed trends, per se, I am always amazed at how couture fashion does influence ready-to-wear. Today, a Youtube video by Justine, will explain why you will never see me in these items not just because I am old and not physically inclined!
  • The "suit" has been redesigned with cropped pants and jackets that surely belonged to someone 5 sizes larger!
  • The "crop" top or wearing-your-bra-in-public look, well, that one is self-explanatory! My six-pack is more likely to be diet Pepsi than a muscle group!
  •  The vest. Now this one I might be able to consider. In various shapes, sizes and styles, the vest can be the showcase for embroidery and design.
  • Neon/acid colors, mmm, not unless it is used on a utility workers garb or maybe, just maybe a wee bit in piping.
  • Bold wallpaper prints from 1960's palette, no, no, no!
  • Scarves and scarf prints, I see possibility there if it is proportional. Twenty ways to tie a scarf, HERE.
