There are few quilt patterns more pleasing to the eye than the good old Pinwheel! One of the first quilts I ever made, many moons ago, I remember being so thrilled when the blocks came together. No, my points were not perfect or even close. No, my color selection was not coordinated but it was used and used, laundered over and over then relegated to a dog bed. It was good.
Our Rose, from the Ladies of the Cloth group, is a master at scrappy use of fabrics that coordinate and comfort. These fabrics are all from her stash. |
The pieced backing on this one is as charming as the front pieced pinwheels! |
- Stash reduction is a good thing, some quilters do it better than others. Rose is a master.
- Quilting is an art. Knowing how to choose just the right fabrics is half the battle I say!
- Consider your stash, if you have one!
