More Shares From "The Ladies!"

Long time member, Kay, recently donated several finished and partially finished quilt tops among group members for finishing. These were all beautifully well done just waiting for their final touches. Terri took this one and made it just for Kay.
Finishing at the size of a large lap quilt, this beauty is enhanced by intricate quilting in the sashes and the borders. Kay was so pleased with the finished item.
Terri is really working on her precision quilting. Advanced Intermediate here, make no mistake.
These fabrics are timeless. Beautiful colors and patterns are enhanced by the tranquil blue setting triangle.
Terri used a backing that works perfectly with the overall design.
  •  I really enjoyed completing someone else's quilt top. I think it was because I was not tired of looking at it. It was all new to me, a challenge of sorts. I suspect professional long-arm quilters have a similar experience. (not that I would ever want to do that even though I did consider it several years ago)
  •  Gifting a quilt is a great experience if you know the quilt is going to someone who will appreciate it. I stopped giving quilts just a few years ago after seeing one that was heart and soul created full of holes from someone cleaning it with bleach. Another used for a packing blanket while moving house sealed the deal. No more. Admirers only.
  • Retirement has afforded me a more relaxed life style but I can't help but notice my time is still running a little low. I will never use up all the fabric I accumulated and at the end of the year I will edit the stash again. Never too late to share.
