Hopping On To Sew Special Quilt Shop, Uniontown, Pa.

Recently relocated in Uniontown, Pa., this charming shop has retained its personality and welcoming atmosphere. One fascinating exhibit on display right now is these stunning stained glass works of art and their companion quilt block. These will be auctioned on June 20th to support a local charity. What a great idea!
The Patriotic theme for this Shop Hop continues on this display where kits and patterns were available.
Wonderful light highlights the selection of sewing machines available for purchase here. In the back of the shop a nice class room is also in steady use.
This little Moose will soon be available as an applique pattern, little embellishments on his antlers and in the title enhance the piece.

  • Again, this shop hits all the right markers. Open, clean, well lighted and organized, it is the modern standard for good quilt shopping. I think many retailers are coming to realize that attracting new quilters may require a more defined approach to the shop. Clutter, limited selection and/or old fabrics just will not do. The modern quilter wants the new stuff, the fabrics, notions etc. seen in magazines and on quilting shows and You Tube videos
  •  Supporting local charity, what could be more appropriate for the quilting community! Quilters are known for their generosity to hospitals, hospice, child care and foster agencies. This is a new and innovative way to display the quilters skill.
  • Helpful and friendly associates make the experience great fun. Again, a seamless checkout process is a bonus.
