Is it my imagination or am I sensing season change? Imperceptible, but something has changed in the last few days. I am aware that hours of sunshine are a bit less, I am seeing the garden vines dying back while the morning air has a almost crisp feel in early morning...and I am having lots of early mornings! Lola loves the cool air, not a warm weather girl we have already determined!
Yes dear friends, she is really this cute!

I blessed myself yesterday to attend a Ladies of the Cloth Gathering. It has been difficult to get there recently and it was like a breath of fresh air. I was breathing deep! Surrounded by friends with like minds and stories of Summer adventures was just what I needed.
Linda Sue is hand quilting this sweet little quilt. Happy colors and a theme, can you see it?
What a sweet little tribute, a quilt with a hand embroidered name. These were very popular when I was growing up. Visiting a friends grandmother I noted that each bed in her house had a quilt with a name sewn on it. I don't remember dates but names, yes. The upstairs had three bedrooms, each with an iron bed, no carpets, linoleum on the floor. I remember being cold up there. Since her grandmother was the only resident of the home at that time, the beds were dressed with multiple layers of quilts and common way for her to store her work since the house was quite old and had no closets.

This quilt would have been perfect there, it has a micro-fleece backing, guaranteed to be a cuddler!
Marilyn is the queen of applique here. She has been sharing her work and her precise applique to this group for as long as I can remember. These two little dresses are for cousins, the shoulders close with buttons. Lovely buttonholes are already in place.
A year ago my dear sweet Lucy made her last trip with us in Mondo. She was just as excited to travel that day as every day. She could no longer navigate the steps, we had to carry her that day. What a great traveler she was. The most loving and loyal dog I have ever known. I have known many great dogs. This little girl was my Son's dog, when he passed she became mine. And She will always be in my heart.
