Christmas in July is dragging along, it will likely extend to Christmas in August.

Binding this wall hanging is on the queue, next I think! This was the first project I quilted on the Coronet. |

Still in progress...... |
4:30 am EST. Yes, you see that correctly. Our little fur ball has switched her days and nights a bit and her rise and shine time was early, early today. We are having quite a bit of morning fog now and early morning is like pea soup. So, Mr. Sewtopia took the little princess out, she spotted a turkey on the patio (at the swimming pool actually) snapped her break away collar and leash and the rest is history. If we had neighbors, they would have not been so happy! He with all his metal parts and she with the energy of untold magnitude! We are changing her name to Dogzilla!
- A friend visited the other day to gather zucchini, I know, ....anyway she remarked that I always seem to have an apron on at home. And yes, I do. I have to prepare three meals a day and I am a bit sloppy, therefore, if my clothes are to survive more than one or two wearings, an apron is a uniform for me. And the pockets! A girl needs her pockets. More on that to come in August. BTW, making friend some aprons....noticed a few spots on her shirt.
- A recent article about sewing and planning reminded me how important structure has to be for me. Too many life distractions always put sewing on the back burner. The last two weeks, trust me, very little has been on any burners.
- I joined a challenge group for Fall sewing. While their patterns are not necessarily my style I find that the group event and the inspiration that affords has always worked well for me.
- Today during my self defined studio time (usually after lunch clean up) I will gather everything I need to bind the above wall hanging and hopefully finish pressing those half square triangle blocks on the felted wool press mat and report back.
- The little chart below was borrowed from Quilters Digest Facebook Group.
