The Ladies of the Cloth Linda Sue shared this sweet little signature quilt with the group. She sent the hexi-blocks out to friends and family and assembled the quilt when they returned the block. If you have ever attempted a project like this you are well aware that the "returns" come in drips and drabs and much prodding is sometimes to required.
Each block is a signature and a blessing from friends and family. Each unique and often expressing a bit of personality as well. Linda Sue framed each block, assembled them and hand quilted them. What a lovely gift.
- Linda Sue remarked that having these blocks ready and available to sign at a family function, where everyone is a captive audience, so-to-speak, would have hastened the process a bit. Mailing each out and waiting for their return added precious time to the task.
- While many contributors may not sew, indelible pens and pencils may provide an alternative.
- Note that there are a couple cross-stitch embellishments as well as embroidery and applique.
