In-progress...Rosita. Why this name you might ask? Well, sitting in my rocking chair, on my back porch admiring the lush greenery and all the critters who visit, I saw my first baby ground hog of the season while trimming threads on the quilt. For years I have named the baby groundhogs and there is always a Rosita, therefore, the quilt will be called Rosita.
I had this sweet little jelly roll of dotted fabrics hanging around so I knew it would work for a binding for Rosita. I made three strip sets, 5 fabrics each, then combined them and cross cut them at 2 1/2 inches. I joined all the 45 x 2 1/2 inch strips to form the binding.
The extension table on Destiny is great for sewing large and small units and reducing weight tension on the needle.
I have also been experimenting with some new threads. I think I have used this is the past and now it is a favorite again for piecing and joining. In the bobbin is Exquisite bobbin thread. Excellent quality.
And according to my dealer safe for the machine.
