Scanning through 938 draft posts (I know, I have ideas, lots of ideas) I found this little graph from about 2015. At that time a local quilt shop hop was featuring row quilt patterns. I am really not sure if this is a photo of a pattern they submitted or something I picked up somewhere else but I really did like doing the row quilts. If I remember correctly, a group of friends would chose a color family, or a range of colors and then each person would chose the block they wanted to feature and make it within that color range. Most often the rows were width of fabric for service quilts, then borders and/or sashing was added to create a specific size and then quilted by another person, bound by yet another. Seeing the finished products was amazing. What fun. Now, you can do this on your own as well by making some test blocks, put them in a row that measures specific and there you go. What a great way to use up left over fabrics.

- I found several more examples in the archives but you get the idea, right?
- I live in a sports town, right now I am watching a game named "The Backyard Brawl" specifically University of Pittsburgh vs. West Virginia University. They have not played this game for 15 years I think and it has been a huge rivalry. Driving distance apart, these two local powerhouse teams have me on the edge of my seat with my heating pad falling on the floor. It will take a while to get to sleep tonight.
- I have a collection of new magazines to read and share soon.
- Don't forget that September is National Sewing Month.
