Fry Me a River: The Saga of Zucchini and the Air Fryer!

Zucchini Fries as an appetizer, side dish or light lunch with a salad or soup.
Already the friends and neighbors are pretending not to be home when they see me coming with squash laden arms. Ah, the humble zucchini. I prefer not to deep fry for many reasons....health issues, mess, air pollution in a domestic kitchen.
 Meet the Air Fryer.

How do you find the air fryer, do you like it? I totally embrace the avoiding indoor air pollution, my range oven doesn't vent to the outside, so sauteing is an issue. Have you tried fried chicken in it?

I like it and use it one or two times per week. All vege do well with minimal or no oil. I find things cook more evenly with just a bit of oil. In this recipe the squash was a little bigger, I cooked it in four batches. The basket is rather small so to get an even cook I use the included rack and it works out well. I have done small pieces of breaded chicken, worked very well. As does egg rolls, wings, some sausages (links) Have not done large meats yet. They say you can do burgers and bacon etc. Not done that. Worth the price to me particularly if I am cooking for 1 or 2.
