Current read is The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House, by Kate Anderson Brower. (Available at amazon.com) Full of fascinating stories about the Residence Staff at the White House from the Kennedy's to the current, I feel a new respect for the workers there. I fear I would never have the patience to tolerate all the whims and weird requests made by certain presidents, wives and families. In this contentious election year I suspect the staff are all in great suspense to find out if the difficult Clintons or the unknown Trumps will be their charge. God Bless the USA!  |
