Fabric Finds, Nothing Like a Sale

Fabric, a sale, lace, a sale=pillow cases. This fabric looks and feels like Liberty Lawn. It is not. It is Regent Street Sentimental Studios for Moda. This fabric is so fine to the hand it is a shame to cut it. I made an infinity scarf from this 6 months ago. The remainder of the bolt was marked down and there was just enough for me to use for the pillow cases.

It is so feminine and lightweight if feels almost like silk. I don't know if I will have time to make them before the holidays but I think they will look very nice on my Winter bed.

Speaking of sales and inspiration, on the same day I spotted these fabrics
I was thrilled to see these in the sale room and just had to get them to make the THE FIVE O'CLOCK QUILT. The video clearly explains this cute little quilt. You need 1 yard of 5 different fabrics. Just click on the link to see the video for yourself. Another project for passing the Winter Months. It is destined for the Motorhome.

Do these fabrics look familiar? They should, these are the ones I used to make the tote bag in the hoop a few months ago. Of course, I fell in love with the fabric and was totally surprised when it was on sale too, who knew? These are 1/2 yard cuts. I have no idea what their purpose will be yet, I am working on it!
This was a fun project, the embroidery on each block was done in the hoop on my Babylock Unity then the blocks were assembled, a lining applied with handles and Ta Da, a tote bag.  I am trying to be a little more frugal with fabric purchases and the price on these suited my goal. Good luck on your shopping, look for those sales, support our small businesses so that quilting will always be a number one activity!
