Just one look at this adorable beachy row quilt will tell you that this manner of quilting is here to stay. One might see various patterns in magazines and books right now that will inspire you to attempt one. This is the first one that Linda Sue worked on, it is the Shop Hop Quilt from 2014. She set it aside when the 2015 project started. The rows collected were local and from shops in Florida, forwarded by another quilting friend and former member of the Ladies of the Cloth, Marion.
So cute, destined for her beach house.
The borders.
Her 2015 quilt with the backing applied and the "Licence Plates" collected from the shops where she gathered her block patterns.
Hand quilted, Linda Sue is very proud of her Feathers and rightfully so. They are beautifully done.
My favorite pieced block. Well done.
A timely but totally unrelated link. Visit Lilacs and Longhorns. I just discovered this blog recently, lovely photography, good ideas and a friendly format. Check it out when you have time.
