A String Quilt for Baby

String quilts are still very popular among quilters. A great way to use up all those scrap fabrics or even plan one with a carefully curated fabric palette. This is a new one Pat is making as a gift. Using her Big Stitch hand quilting method with #12 wt Sulky variegated thread, it makes the patterns stand out and say Hello Baby!
See what I mean? Using the solid pink as the block center then adding different fabrics in the pinks family we have a sweet little quilt that baby (and MOM) will just love. Pat changed the border on this one from the multiple prints to a nice solid-reading darker shade of pink. Such a nice gift. That's our Pat!
