| A recent field trip to the Meadowcroft Rock Shelter in Avella, Pa. offered a little surprise. This was a membership event with tours and lunch. As we queued up for lunch the line snaked around the back of the visitors center. When I rounded the corner I noticed that the little stage had been decorated with quilts. I am not sure what it was all about, I think they used them as stage curtains. In any case, we really enjoyed our lunch up on the stage surrounded by pretty quilts. They were machine pieced and quilted with traditional binding and rounded corners. |
They had not been up there too long. No dampness or stains. The leaves are showing subtle changes and dropping there. I will go back in a few weeks when the color is high.
