We have had a few beautiful days here lately. More like the Western Pa Summers of my childhood. Or I am I only remembering the good days? Oh well, one of the joys of age, sanitizing the past!!!. Speaking of the past, do you like the dinosaur in the photo? We have them all over the place here.
- I cannot believe that one of my favorite shopping channels is showcasing items for Thanksgiving dinner today!
- I have the urge to stuff the turkey with firecrackers! Please, slow down, we are wishing away our lives.
- When the zucchini comes on, which will be in a couple days, it will be a deluge, tomatoes, not so much I think.
- Zucchini grows no matter how fickle the growing season, Can someone tell me why?
- Oh, and Mr. Beanstalk, where are the beans?
- Fashion observation: clingy knits don't look good on anyone, trust me on this.
- Is the fork now an optional piece of equipment in a casual restaurant? I know in other countries the hand is the implement of choice, but this is not that country, that culture. We don't live in tents or roam the deserts trying to lug the silver around. Well most of us don't anyway.
- Mr. Sewtopia will no long be permitted to charcoal grill, or should I say lighter fluid saturated charcoal grill. He tried, not his bailiwick. We should all feel better tomorrow I think.
- Nice chat with a friend who is a photographer and a quilter. Her dilemma, can't do both well. Need to pick one. I hear 'ya Sister. Need to narrow the creative focus. Hard to do. Personal Retreat coming up. Focus, focus, focus!
In progress this week: The wool large penny project....changed the base fabric three times already. A saga in and of itself! A tote bag from the scraps from the flag mini-quilt cut into tumbler shapes. Quilting Lola. Assemble and Quilt the Jetson Circle Quilt for Great Nephew. Good thing these kiddos' know that I try to be timely with their gifts but I am just not very good at it anymore. His Birthday was in June, I hope he doesn't notice.
I have a very special quilt to show you tomorrow. Feel free to take notes:) | | | | |
