The Tuesday Sew and Sews and Their Summer Picnic

With Summer winding down our little group enjoyed a lovely day for our picnic. Beautiful salads, fruit, pies and deserts blessed our table while our talented duo, Linda Sue and Jenny provided some special additions. Jenny set up her easel and demonstrated her silk painting techniques.  I was fasicinated to see how her process results in such beautiful fabrics.
While we chatted and planned our next 'event' Linda Sue provided our background music.
We are a multi-talented group, these lovely ladies are just two examples of that. I find that creative and artistic people are most fullfilled when they are able to share their gift. Thank You.

For example, Betty Jane has been busy using up her scrap collection. This pattern is called "Floating Postcards."

A relatively simple pattern, it has great colors and dimension.

Another example, Susan is hand piecing this stunning kaleidoscope block. She is really good with this type of work.
If I have said it once, I have said it a hundred times, this group of ladies inspire me. We are all coming from different backgrounds and circumstances. We have shared so much over time. Pat joined us yesterday, the first time since her surgery.   Janice was there as well, recovering nicely. Karen, Kay, Rose,  and Mary Jane rounded out the group.

We have a Field Trip planned for October and our Harvest Tea will have a little "spin" this year. More on that later.

Now, last but not least, Linda Sue has been knitting on some big needles. Please note the needle on the left, with the holes drilled into the needle itself....can you guess???? It is a flute, She even shared a tune or two between rows!!!

I told you, creative!
