A New Tuesday Teapot and a Tour of the Mid-Summer Table

Dressing the table is a priority of mine. I am not sure how that happened. Too much Martha Stewart? Blinded by Williams Sonoma? From my earliest memories I have been enamoured of dishes, table settings and cook ware. I may have mentioned in the past that my first 'official' paycheck was used to buy bake-ware. My colleagues were buying cars, clothes, shoes and jewelry. I was scanning the shelves for the perfect measuring cups, the most sleek silverware. I know. might be a little odd. Oh well.

Not much has changed. Husband accepted all this a very long time ago. On a recent shopping trip to "The Strip" in Pittsburgh., here   I found a new collection of Polish Pottery.  In addition to every known ethic grocery known to man, there are kitchen supply, pottery, fabric and specialty shops to explore. With a laser beam I was on my way to the kitchen supply. My goal was to replace my two 8 inch square baking pans.  The prior well used pans were to be recycled. I did find them, but that's not all. Enter the new, perfect for summer pattern, Teapot.

Thank you,I can't believe how translucent the green is. Most of my collection is in blue with accent colors. This one is special for many reasons. The water is heating as we speak, wish we could share a cup!
