A Modern Take on Christmas in July

As I suspected, my Christmas in July Post is running a little late. Excuses, excuses!  Anyway, I have a few little projects that I wanted to share. Now, I admit I have not started these yet, Te He, but they are in the queue.

Poinsettia Brooch Tutorial

So have you met  Lisa from Lil Fish Studio? An amazing artist, she does the most amazing things with felt. The tutorial for this project is on her website. Wouldn't these make great little gifts? Click here  to visit her website, and here for the tutorial.
Lisa is so kind, she shares many great tutorials for her projects.

I know, don't moan, but if you are a maker of Christmas gifts it is time to make your list and check it 10 times so that you will be ready and avoid the last minute rush. Here is an amazing quilt from Moda. This little panel from the quilt is my favorite of the designs. To see the entire piece click here. The pattern and fabric requirements are included.
I am thrilled with this block.
ModaI have not made a Christmas Quilt, This simple block might lead me there. This one is a quilt along series if you want to get started with the featured fabric or work on stash reduction.  This could be a table runner, a pillow, the face on a Holiday Tote Bag!  *as always, no affiliation.

And last, but not least, if you are considering a Modern take on the theme check out the colorful interpretations offered in this new book.
Modern Holiday

Diary of a Quilter, Amy,  reviews a new book by Amanda Murphy. A little something for everyone!!! Giveaways are in progress, check it out.

Tomorrow, a Finished by Friday post, it is true, there has been progress.....and some completion:)

*As always, I have absolutely no affiliation with anyone about anything. Just wanted to share.

Yes, it is time to start making Christmas gifts. Time flies. It's hard to think about when temps are nearing 100 though.
