Jammed Up, no Sewing in Sewtopia, but Lots of Activity

A few days  ago I had an interesting conversation with a lady of advanced years, a quilter and yes, a gardener. She explained that summer means that she puts away the quilting and concentrates on her plants. She humbly describes how she tends 250 tomato plants in addition to the rest of  the garden. No wonder she puts the quilting away!!

Strawberry Jam, half pints and pints, gifts and Winter treats.
But what is this? Well, on Jam day with the pots bubbling and glass clinking and lids popping etc. in my mail came a new friend from an old friend. Mr. Happy Pill!!! When you squeeze his little heart a big sound of child laughter comes forth. Let me tell you this,  you  cannot not laugh after you hear this. My Dogs were dancing around too! Thanks Joann, I always need a good laugh, but then again, don't we all????

the Alpha eggplant is growing before our eyes, in a couple days from blossom to this (about 5 inches in length) The raised beds are like super growth boxes with amended soil, warmer soil and concentrated watering. We currently just have a few of these and would like to expand from a table garden to something  larger.
