Bitten by The Bug

The 'Neat Ripple' by Attic 24

the Purl Bee blanket
Good Morning everyone. The title says it all, I have been bitten or more accurately re-bitten by the 'Crochet Bug!' Also interesting to me is that I have gone rather color crazy. Nothing neutral on my crochet horizon. I am sure that blog influence has altered my thinking on the process. Over the week end I did some online research for some new ideas. Here are some favorites. I am energized by the use of color and texture by these projects.  It was on Purl Bee some time ago when one designer remarked about 'Granny Chic!' These new designs add an element of nostalgia with   a modern flair. I am indeed bitten. If you are too, click on my Pages Category for Crochet Projects in Queue for patterns, attributions and inspiration.

For a second I thought the Purl Bee was a carpet. Look forward to the pics!

My granny squares are not usually square but lopsided. I am not sure why that is, because I have the same number of stitches on each side. Have you ever had this happen and do you know the reason why?

@Gwen, tension tends to be my issue. I get so engrossed in the work I tend to tighten up a bit, and I tense up so much that all my hooks are bent, like the Incredible Hulk!

@Elmo, I should have carried a different picture over. Blogger was acting up today. I started the ripple and tore it out twice already. I hate the foundation row!
