The Sew and Sew Sampler for May 8, 2012

Linda Sue has this quilt in progress with a music theme. After the piecing is complete it should be a beauty.

Guess what she uses for a "design wall?" A flannel backed plastic table cloth. Because she travels in her RV a lot, this method has proven to be very effective and portable. She has attached little rope loops on each upper corner to hang it up where ever she is.

Jennifer has made this beautiful top with some panels. It is quilted but not showing up too well here. The binding is on and needs to be turned. Love it. This shade of green is so calming.
Our resident Long-Arm quilter, Kathie,  who has shared so much great information with me has been a busy bee. I cannot believe she is so prolific. These blocks are unique, amazing, colorful, all totally different and set in black. Yes, black. The colors absolutely pop.

a close up. Neat, huh?

Linda Sue has been piecing this collection of tumbling blocks. My tea cup is at the bottom of the photo. Sorry.

Well that is all for now. As usual, great friends, great food, good times. Yes good times.

Gratuity Moment: Love seeing black as a neutral. I have some black fabrics but I never knew how to use them. Should have known that Kathie would lead the way.
