The Tuesday Teapot as Art

We are fortunate in this area to have a thriving art community. There are several art festivals during the summer that showcase these artists. Several years ago while Husband was touring the booths near his office, he came upon a collection of teapots. Knowing my collection needed a little variety, this beauty came home. It is really different from anything in my collection. It is modern with an Asian sensibility. It is also a little wacky. The bowl of the pot sits off-side the base, the lid is crooked and the colors are, well, abstract. That said, here she is.

  Trying to find a way to photograph this pot was tricky. It has a black base that just didn't want to shine, so to speak. The other colors pop. So, here she is on a little Chippendale shelf near the front entrance, she does not stay there.

The hall mark on the bottom is just a "Z," I have nothing else to document its provenance.
Now I will finish cleaning the shelf and other items there and return her to her spot of glory. The best thing about all this is that all these little cupboards, curio's and cabinets are getting cleaned in the process of this series. Have a good day, a nice cup of tea, and happy thoughts.
