This week really went fast. Fall is in full swing here, the nights are cool and the leaves are falling, knee deep here I might add. I added another electric water heating kettle to the collection. Why? I need one for the kitchen and one for the sewing space. I always pre-heat my precious tea pots before adding the boiling water. I use very hot tap water to "proof' the pot and to avoid cracking it. This one is very special. It was the first in my collection.
the new electric kettle, Hamilton Beech, Costco, $19.95 I think. Holds 1.75 liters and heats quickly. Automatic shut off and a screen filter on the spout. Outside is brushed stainless steel and handle is black plastic.

my favorite, 2 cups, fine porcelain that has aged nicely, many fine spider cracks in the glaze |

On either side of the teapot in the above photo are little bunny dishes from L.E. Smith Glass in Mt. Pleasant, Pa. I will feature some of that collection in future posts.

Husband bought this for me when our little family was on vacation in Niagra Falls, Canada. We were financially challenged at the time, this was quite the splurge.
Gratuity Moment: Husband, always has been the best "gifter" I know. BTW, today is our anniversary.
