In honor of St. Patrick's day, I thought I would share this lovely quilt. It is a family heirloom, hand-pieced and hand-quilted by Grandmother and Aunt of DH. Probably made in the early 1950's, it was unused until recently. I date it at that time because of the color of the green. A very popular shade of the time. Being a quilter, I know how hard it is to match and point all those triangles and squares, it is a work of art. The backing is a high quality unbleached muslin. It measures 84 inches in length and 72 inches wide.
