I Found This Too-Crochet

we've got some bobbles on the edge

it is a double crochet, all the way

tucked into this closet storage basket (IKEA)
a famous, easily available standard, the red heart yarn

OK, so here is my dilemma. I cannot find the rest of the yarn. I either gave it away, donated it or tossed it accidentally. That's a lot of yarn, but I cannot find it. I do not have enough to finish the piece as originally planned. So the question before the court is do I attempt to match it, it has been at least 5 years, or undo the whole thing and start something else? I will let you know. Frustrating. Oh,and by the way, that room is no longer a bedroom, it is an office!

Gratuity Moment:  This clean out is like opening Christmas Presents, I keep finding more stuff!

PS: Joann's had this yarn on sale this week, the color match is off, so now I have a nice little project to work on during television time tonight........Season 2 of Downton Abbey premiers in the US tonight on PBS.

FYI, at the Masterpiece Theatre site you can read all the little tidbits about the series. I just read an article in one of our local newspapers that explained that this show almost did not get made. The developers had trouble selling it. While it is essentially a costume drama, it has modern issues and character development frequently lacking in similar dramas. Just so you know, you can actually buy momento's of the show at the Masterpiece site. Everything from DVD's to jewelry and teapots.  If you are interested here is the link:

What I would do is-pull some of it out, add other colors, making a strip pattern, and incorporate the white into the stripes--maybe just a couple of rows between colors.

Dear Gwen, now that is an idea. I want it to be very neutral so that it will suit where ever it ends up. Let me think on that a while. I had also considered buying the slightly off yarn, then tea dying the whole thing. What do you think?
