The front porch provides a cool environment for a little break. My Shamrocks are very happy here, blooming now and then they are happy little plants. |
When time permits I take a little Tea Break mid-afternoon. Sometimes I enjoy this little comfort in my Studio beside a sewing machine, sometimes in good weather I sip outside on the porch, and then again any chair and a few quiet moments can be tea time. On rare occasions I add a little tea sandwich if I missed lunch. This is a time to re-center the mind and rest to deal with the rest of the day.

Of course, friends and family know my Tea passions. This divine French tea is a favorite on any given afternoon. |

My daytime routine is altered a bit during the warm months. This large Le Cruset teapot was a Birthday gift from Dear Son last year. I make a full pot in the morning, drink the first and sometimes second cup while hot and the rest is iced for the rest of the day. | |

Look at the amber goodness just waiting for me. That is not a bug in the glass it is a tea leaf that escaped the strainer. |

But then again a girl cannot live by tea alone, right?
- Planning a little Tea Party (virtual) with friends who share my passion from far away places. The event to celebrate? Downton Abbey the movie. Brilliant!
- Just about any situation or problem can be better evaluated with a cup of tea. Well, at least that's what my Mother said. I know she was right.
- My attempt to make a decent scone continues. I am trying to do this right, you know? In a few weeks one of my favorite events will inspire. The Ligonier Highland Games, September 14 and 15 th. Website HERE. Don't miss the combined Bag Pipper band video on the website. There is always an English Food vendor there, I have purchased a nice Scone Mix there in the past. I need to check it out again. Time to pull out the family Tartan.
