Not much sewing in Sewtopia at this time of year. Lots of garden work though. As always, every item decides to mature around the same time, might be Mother Nature's little joke! I keep a journal for testing recipes. Some of them are mine alone, others are from friends and family and still others from cook books or online sites and I keep notes, tweak the recipes and test.
One such is this zucchini bread recipe. The original came from a young woman who worked with my husband about 30 years ago. This was a family recipe for her and she shared it rarely. Over the years with growing families and relocations we lost touch but the recipe is still going strong. I have made some little adjustments but it is still the best zucchini/pineapple bread for us. I call this First Choice Zucchini Bread and I share it over on Kitchen Chronicles Blog.
A good year for the herb garden too. I am picking and prepping for drying these and some others. I will package them for the Thanksgiving gift baskets. When things settle down a bit I will stitch up some other items to carry the theme.
Miss Lola is 9 weeks old today. Her current passion is to rip low hanging leaves and stems from plantings. No idea what this is about but we are spending much time "redirecting" this behavior. She goes out in the morning and flies around the yard like a Greyhound on a track!
She is rested and doing "Zoomies" all around the lawn, trying to get a picture is a little tricky!

And then this, she sits and smiles! Little stinker! |
