Free Motion quilting is one of those skills that requires practice, practice, practice. A fine example of a quilt artist who is always testing design and expanding her skill base is Lori Kennedy. Recently a Craftsy presenter, Lori uses doodling to help in her design process. I have been doing some of the exercises along with her over the last few months and I must say it seems to help with my hand-eye coordination as well as open up additional opportunities to learn a new style and a more advanced technique. Does this pique your interest? If so, please follow the link to her blog The Inbox Jaunt to meet her and study her process.

The casual but elegant life in the French countryside is detailed in beautiful photography and text here. Want to take a little trip? Grab a cup of something, relax and enjoy this amazing blog. When you can't cross the ocean this is the next best thing. Enjoy!
