| The Holiday Placemats, in place, ready for picnic food. |
July 4th was always a big celebration holiday in my family. My Grandfather would host a large picnic of family and friends with lots of food, games and fun. We lived on the family homestead at that time. A gigantic old house full of nooks and crannies that were created as each add-on was built. That was a long time ago and those picnics and reunions are history.

| The Hosta's are in bloom, here a few stems to perk things up. |
A much more sedate event these days we still celebrate the 4th with our few family members and I still decorate the house with patriotic memorabilia.

Have a safe and lovely day, and if you are in Western Pa., don't forget your umbrella! Or your boat.
