Kay is the 'Binder' of the group. If there is any group project Kay is the finisher and she does beautiful work. This is the second row quilt we did this Summer. Kay is finishing up the binding and then it will go to one of our local charities.
This is the first row quilt, it was the original idea. It is done, bound and ready to be gifted.
In the church where we meet a project has been ongoing for knitted dishcloths. I was absent when all the particulars were discussed so I cannot speak to the purpose or the recipients. I do know that several members of the group have been knitting away. These beauties were made by Marilyn. Also an expert knitter, our Marilyn made two of each of the four patterns in this book. In a dusty pink yarn they are absolutely charming. Each pattern depicts a quilting design as well!
A little house.
A star. Marilyn also has these little mats in progress.
In Christmas theme, they will brighten someone's Holiday table.
And just look at this one. It reminds me of a stained glass window.
This small quilt, a perfect wall hanging size features a star, one of my favorite quilting motifs! In this close up photo please note how lovely the machine decorative stitch outlines and defines the design as well as quilt the piece at the same time. We all must remember to use some of those stitches in our own work. Thanks for bringing that one in Marilyn.
Never one to play around with mundane projects, our Rose has been very busy indeed. This little piece is crochet. Using Knit-cro-sheen, she has designed this piece to replace one made earlier that is starting to show some wear. Note the little purse hardware already attached.

I managed to get a quick little snap of Linda's ongoing wool applique project. Love it!
The week has been a busy one as it seems they all are lately. My sewing time has been limited but I wander to the sewing machine when a few moments are available. My Mother's famous/infamous comment is bouncing around in my head, I'll leave you with this......"It's a great life if you don't weaken!"
