With permission my dear friend, Jeanneke, has graciously shared photo's of her Double Windmill Quilt. On Friday I shared the Fat Quarter Shop pattern in pastels and white. This rendition is an explosion of color! It is the exact same pattern but the colors make it entirely different. I am a fan of red in a quilt. I think that it is such a punctuation mark for the design. Jeanneke is the quilter who introduced me to the "board basting technique." Here is her quilt in progress. Love it! - color changes this pattern more than I expected, I knew it looked familiar, but just could not place it! Duh!
- using different background fabrics creates a broken glass-like effect, yes?
- Jeanneke is Dutch, her blog is usually written in her native language, right now her translator is on the fritz, hopefully it will be fixed soon.
- blog friends are the best!

That's why I initially named my quilt 'Retteketet', which is Dutch for something like 'Tatatataaaaa', I think.
Cheers!
